New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers biennial conference - October 2013

The New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers 13th biennial conference takes place in Wellington between 1 October and 4 October 2013. Teachers of mathematics and statistics, and all workers in mathematics and statistics, are invited to register. The conference will focus on four strands:
- Transitions - enabling students to build their skills at primary, middle school, and senior levels; and to make the transitions between levels
- Curriculum - sharing creativity about all that is new in mathematics and statistics, its values and key competencies, and 21st century methods of learning
- Assessment - sharing experiences and building collective capability in assessing at all levels of school
- Technology - reassessing the growing mathematics-based technology, and how technology can be used to promote learning in mathematics and statistics.
